Hello and welcome to The Coffee Chic!

My name is Algene, and like many of you, I find the simple pleasure of a good cup of coffee to be one of life’s greatest joys. But this blog isn’t just about coffee – it’s about the conversations, thoughts, and inspirations that can happen over that cup of coffee.

Since 2007, I’ve been pouring my thoughts into this blog, blending in my experiences, dreams, and accomplishments. Writing sets me free, and sharing my blogs makes me feel alive. I’m a happy-go-lucky person who lives by the principles of the law of attraction and believes in making things happen.

At some point in my blogging life, I updated my “About” page with a line that says, “My ultimate dream is to become a lawyer someday. That is why I am currently studying law at Ateneo de Davao University. The law in life is simple: Just ask, believe, and receive!”

Fast forward to this day, I’m proud to say that I’m already a lawyer in the Philippines. I survived my law school days at Ateneo de Davao University. My quest to pass the bar was one reason I stopped blogging for some time. There were a lot of times when I made an effort to update the blog, but I kept on failing. However, this time, I’m definitely back for good.

Just like the old times, I will use this blog as my online journal. At The Coffee Chic, you’ll find a range of topics that mirrors the different aspects of my life – from my day-to-day experiences as a lawyer (“Law Life”) and musings about life (“Thoughts”), to the books that inspire me (“Books”), local events I attend (“Events”), my tips on freelancing (“Freelancing”) and more! As a self-proclaimed foodie and traveler, you’ll also find my restaurant reviews and travel experiences, along with the occasional tutorial or life hack.

Reading this blog is like having a conversation with a friend over a cup of coffee. I hope it gives you a daily dose of inspiration and motivation, a place to turn to when you need advice, a good laugh, or simply to feel connected.
