I’m Back For Good

My blog has always been a big part of me. This is why I still keep it up to this day, even though I have not updated it for the past few years. There were days when I wanted to get back to blogging, but I could not succeed due to my personal engagements and work commitments. However, I think the right time has come for me to finally get back to updating The Coffee Chic again.

Many things have happened in my life since I last published an article on my site. Well, the biggest one would be my engagement to Kenn. Yes, you read it right. I am now engaged and going through the complicated process of planning a wedding. (To be honest, I did not know it’s so hard to do this!) I got engaged last January during my first visit to the UK. I was not expecting my then-boyfriend to propose while we were enjoying our moments at The View from The Shard. It was one of the best moments of my life, and I cried so hard that night because everything was overwhelming. I was caught off guard, yet it’s one of the easiest “YES” I’ve given anyone. I’ll reserve the rest of the story for another blog post.

Another significant change is that I used to talk about my journey as a law student in this blog, but I’ve never really discussed my life now as a lawyer. That is going to change soon. As I update this blog, I also look forward to talking about the exciting-yet-frightening life of being a lawyer in the Philippines. As I type this post, I cannot help but be proud of how far I’ve come. I remember the days when I would talk about the hardships of being a law student and the challenges I went through before passing the bar. It was a roller-coaster ride for me!

At the same time, I’ve also traveled a lot since the pandemic. I spent most years studying for my Juris Doctor degree, so I never got the chance to travel a lot. When I eventually became a member of the Philippine Bar and gained sufficient time to start exploring cities, COVID-19 happened. I could not even travel from Davao City to Metro Manila for my Oath Taking Ceremony. Instead of going to the Philippine International Convention Center, I ended up taking the Lawyer’s Oath via video conference in my condominium unit. Hence, when the travel regulations were lifted, I dedicated my time to planning some trips! I’ve been to Istanbul, Barcelona, Paris, Grindelwald, Milan, Rome, Singapore, London, and Vietnam. I didn’t get to share these trips in my blog, but I will slowly post about them here!

My life right now is far from perfect, but I’m in my happiest state. I am forever grateful for everything that came my way. I want to use this blog again to share my daily stories, upcoming events, lifestyle updates, and more.

Thank you for reading this far, and I hope you will continue to support me! Yes, this time, I’m back for good.
