Happiness Means Giving Back

Knowing that you have shared something to somebody is one of the best feelings in this world. The real measure of happiness is not having everything in this world but rather sharing whatever it is that you have to other people. It is by giving back that you actually receive more in life.
Last Sunday, I attended the
Children’s Day organized by one of my good friends in Davao Bloggers Society, Naprey Almario. He blogs at
Behind the Rolling Chair. He has been doing charity works for five years now. He started with Back to School Giving projects where he visits different orphanages to donate some school materials. For his birthday this year, he chose to celebrate it with eighty kids from the three different orphanages in Davao namely Balay Pasilungan, Padre Pio’s Home for Children and Providence Home of St. Joseph.
All the kids were gathered in Bahay Pasilungan for an afternoon event full of fun and happiness. It started with a mass officiated by Father Lionel followed by a talent showdown of the children. There were a total of eleven performances on that day. Seeing the kids act, sing, dance and draw made me feel good. The smiles on their faces show how happy they were on that special day.

I’m so proud of Naprey for being an inspiration not only to the children of the charitable institutions he supports but also to everyone surrounding him. He never gets tired of extending his help to those who are in need. He can make things happen! It’s something really extraordinary for the man behind the rolling chair. The world will be a better place if there are more persons like him. Let us remind ourselves that true happiness means being selfless.

I hope one day I could also be of help to less fortunate children… Seeing them happy is priceless.
Kids are really refreshing people to be with. Their happiness is so sincere and really comes from the bottom of their hearts.

It is more blessed to give than to receive. This is very essence and the spirit of giving. Jesus Christ Himself gave himself for the ransom of the many. He is the best exemplar, worthy to be emulated.
I have the same belief.. that its by giving back that you actually receive more in life. I always share whatever I can to the people around me… and I always feel blessed whenever I share.. I am sure Naprey is very blessed too

I believe we came to this world not only to live a life dedicated to ourselves but to make a difference in another's life as well.
