London: Europe’s Original Fashion Destination

London is the original home of retail therapy. From legendary Savile Row to the bustling crowds of Oxford Street, London is and always has been a fashion mecca.
For the perfect weekend getaway, you can choose from one of the hundreds of incredible London hotels, make reservations at the city’s chicest eateries and plan to spend your days sourcing stylish and sophisticated duds from around the city.

Oxford Street
Often credited as being at the very heart of London’s shopping district, Oxford Street boasts more than 300 retailers including landmark stores, such as Selfridges, and traditional high street favourites, including John Lewis and Debenhams.
If you need to take a break from shopping in Oxford Street, then simply slip down a side street and stumble upon tucked away cafes and smaller shops. St Christopher’s Place is a great spot for lunch and a glass of wine to break up a day of power shopping.
Bond Street and Mayfair
For a more sophisticated and considerably more exclusive shopping experience, head to Mayfair where luxury goods and high fashion designers abound. While the prices are much higher, the goods are truly worth the price.
From London designers like Burberry to savvy imports like Louis Vuitton and Tiffany & Co. Mayfair features nothing but the very best of London’s extravagant and elegant sartorial decadence. For fashionistas everywhere, there are few more stylish streets to shop than London’s Bond Street.
Covent Garden
In answer to the city’s exclusive shopping experience in Mayfair, stylish and resourceful shoppers will find that Covent Garden is as great a place to explore as it is to shop.
Sample rare sweets and treats and get up to date on the latest urban fashion trends while roaming the Covent Garden Market before weaving your way through Floral Street, Monmouth Street and St. Martin’s Courtyard.
Knightsbridge
Tourists from around the world flock to Knightsbridge for its famous shops and department stores. Home to iconic Harrods, Knightsbridge shopping is the ultimate place to source up to the minute trends from the most elite fashion icons in the world.
Sloane Street is a great place to see and be seen and to sample some of the visual splendour of London’s most fashion conscious citizens.
Savile Row
No London shopping experience would be complete without a trip to Savile Row. Known around the world as the home of bespoke British tailoring, this is the ultimate destination for high-end handmade suits.
Local shop Henry Poole & Co. is credited with inventing the tuxedo and still cuts cloth at No. 15, and as a result, London is home to the best dressed men in the world and they can be seen in abundance nipping in and out of these fabled shops.
For the ultimate retail getaway, there are very few cities that can even compete with jolly old London town. The endless storefronts of the city’s historic shops and modern malls make it the perfect blend of old and new, classic and contemporary.
