Shining Holidays at Marco Polo Davao

It is a known fact that Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Whenever I drive around the city and see Christmas lights and trees or hear Christmas songs from my radio, I feel instantly happy. Instead of complaining about the traffic and holiday rush, I allow the spirit of Christmas to bring me into a peaceful and happy state. There is really something about this season that brings smiles and laughers to people regardless of what they are going through or no matter how busy they get.

One of the establishments in the city expressed its excitement for the upcoming holidays by organizing a special event for their friends and loyal customers. On the 1st of December 2015, Marco Polo Davao officially kicked-off their “Shining Holidays” themed Christmas with a Lighting Ceremony at the hotel’s parking lot.
The general manager of Marco Polo Davao, Dottie V. Würgler-Cronin, welcomed everyone with her opening remarks wherein she recognized the presence of the children from Davao School and Rehabilitation for the Visually Impaired.  She said “We decided to make this year’s Christmas Lighting Ceremony meaningful by involving the choir composed of children from the Davao School and Rehabilitation for the Visually Impaired as part of the program. This is also an expression of our support to their institution in the coming years. After all, Christmas is about sharing and we would want to show these kids that Marco Polo Davao shares their hopes and dreams for a bright future.”
Indeed, Christmas is in the air! May we continue to spread happiness and joy, not only for the holidays, but also for the rest of our days. May this Yuletide season bring more peace and love in our lives. Merry Christmas lovely readers.
