The Mistress Movie Quotes

September 12. The long wait is finally over. The Mistress is now showing on all cinemas nationwide.

Despite the fact that I have two upcoming exams this weekend, I still decided to cancel my study plans for the night to watch Star Cinema’s latest project, starring John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo. My friends and I already made plans for the movie date night since last week. Thanks to Belinda for getting the reserve tickets and for treating all of us! So, after our Legal Research class ended, we headed directly to Abreeza mall to see the film.

Cancelling three study hours is not bad after all because The Mistress is really a great movie. It was worth it. The chemistry between John Lloyd and Bea is amazing. At the same time, the plot of the story is well written. There are so many things to love about this new film. Though some scenes are unrealistic, The Mistress conveys highly important messages to its viewers (I will create another post about this. I will watch this film again on Sunday with some of my friends!).

Since I’m a busy bee, I cannot give my insights about this film yet. So for now, what I can offer is a brand new set of movie quotes (like what I always do) taken from The Mistress. To see the trailer of this movie, click here.

Spoiler alert: Do not read this post if you wish to watch the movie this week or for the coming weeks.

“Naniniwala ka naman na age doesn’t matter, diba?”
“Eh kasi, hindi ako madaling mahalin.”
“Let’s not complicate our lives. Take a shower and go home.”
“Stand in the corner.”
“You know I don’t like that woman. I hate her.”
“That is… it’s all a game.”
“What’s with the head to foot thing?”
“Sari. Finally. Isang linggo ko rin pinag-isipan ang pangalan mo. Gusto mong magkape? Kasi ako, gusto kong magkape kasama ka.”
“I’m not giving up. Have coffee with me.”
“Makukuha ko dahil gusto ko. Gusto ko talaga.”
“Ano ang panalangin mo? Ang magkita tayong muli?”
“You were born to follow the foot steps of your father and your lolo.”
“Of course, because you are going to put up your own business.”
“Kung hindi mo kaya mag-isa, we can be partners.”
“My gosh. You are so beautiful.”
“Because you deserve someone better.”
“It’s Thursday. It’s the day of the week that hurts me… He is with her every Thursday, every fuckin’ Thursday fuckin’ her.”

“Tapusin mo na para hindi ka masaktan.”
“I can’t. When I married him, for better or for worse… I love him.”
“He keeps on doing that to you because you keep on forgiving him.”
“‘Cause you slept with another man and you had a son. And everyday, I remind him of your sin.”
“I’m not giving up. You know.”

“From your partner in crime.”
“Because you know, if you want it, you can have it back.”
“Come on, Eric. I need you to lead this company.”
“I’ll never give you the pleasure of calling me a loser every single day.”
“I live to disappoint you, father. It’s my greatest joy.”
“I didn’t you raise you to turn your back on me when I need you most… You ungrateful, boy.”
“What kind of a son are you?”
“The kind that doesn’t want you as a father.”
“You leave. You leave my mother and her misery.”
“Another gold digging queen? Who’s your newest whore?”
“So the next time you call her a whore, I’m going to hurt you so bad so you can’t say those words again. Ever.”
“This my dear is your gift to me. Don’t worry, mas mura pa ‘to kesa balak mong iwan sa kabit mo.”
“Why can’t you forgive me, Rico?”
“Minsan nga lang pero minahal mo.”
“You never love your women?”
“Never.”
“How about this one?”
“You’re a mistress.”
“Ha?”
“Mistress. Wardrobe mistress. Yan yung tawag sa mga babaeng master cutter.”
“I’m getting tired of flirting with you. I love you.”
“Rules? Ganun ba talaga relationship niyo? Covered by rules?”
“Have I told you how much I hate Thursdays?”
“Alam mo kung ano ang kaya kong gawin na hindi kaya ng Mr. Thursday mo. Kaya kitang pakasalan. Sa akin, wala kang kahati.”
“Sa akin. Marami kang kahati.”
“I’m not expecting you to say it back. Gusto ko lang maramdaman mo na mahal kita.”
“Yung Thursday na finally sasabihin mong gusto mo ako maging Mr. Everyday.”
“I cannot share you with any man.”
“So we’re back to that? I told you, I’m not giving up kasi gusto ko.”
“Kung gusto, maraming paraan. Kung ayawa, maraming dahilan.”
“Are you falling in love with me?”
“Oo. Limang taon. Limang taon na kuntento lang ako sa kung anong meron kami ni Rico. ‘Di ako nagreklamo. ‘Di ako naghanap… Tapos dumating ka. Nagsimula akong magtanong.”
“Hindi mo malalaman na may kulang hanggang walang darating na mag-pupuno.”
“I bet you. I’m a damn better lover.”
“You enjoy being some old man’s little secret.”
“Walang babaeng pinangarap maging kabit.”
“But still, I fuckin’ chose to stay.”
“Horrible. Shameful little secret.”

“If only you will let me. If only you will choose me.”

“How long will you be gone?”

“You look like a prostitute than a caregiver.”

“By the way, I am his wife.”

“This is interesting huh. I want you to meet your father’s mistress.”

“As long as I am alive, you will never be promoted to wife.”

“J.D., hindi ako puta.”

“Ang daming dahilan para hindi kita mahalin. Pero may isang dahilan para ‘di ko magawa yun. Mahal kita. Yun lang yun.”

“Mahal ka ng daddy mo. At masasaktan siya kung gugustuhin mong makilala na anak ka ng ibang tao.”

“Ang kunwari, pwedeng magkatotoo kung gusto mo.”
“Natatakot ako.”
“Release your fears, Sari.”

“Anong karapatan mo, Sari? Kerida lang kita.”

“What are you trying to prove? You want to get even with me by stealing my woman?”

“Kerida siya ng daddy mo. Nothing you say will make this right, Eric.”

“Can you have that adulterous woman called?”

“Yes, I am Mrs. Torres, the wife and the mother of the two men willing to kill each other for this bitch.”

“Layuan mo ang asawa ko. Tagalog na yan para maintindihan mo.”

“Paulit-ulit kitang nasaktan. Pero you know I love you.”
“But I also know I’m never enough.”
“Maybe that is the reason why I have to die para hindi na kita masaktan.”

“Kung mabuhay man ako ulit, I’ll make sure I’ll never hurt you again.”

“I won’t live long.”
“I can’t do this. This is such a big responsibility.”
“This is not about what you can or cannot do. It’s about what you should do. Kayanin mo.”

“Sa buhay ko, dalawang beses lang ako na-in love. Kaya naiintindihan kita. Anak nga kita. I loved you the moment you were born… the moment you looked at me with your big eyes. That moment, I knew you were mine. I love you. Please forgive me.”

“Siguro sa kunwari nalang natin pwedeng mahalin ang isa’t-isa.”

“Gusto kong maniwala na he died a happy man. He wasn’t perfect but he was a good man.”

“I’m working hard not to be a perfect man but a good man like the way my father was.”

“Kunwari hindi J.D. ang pangalan ko. Kunwari hindi ako anak ni Rico. Kunwari maayos lahat sa mundo, anong makikita mo?”

  26. This movie is really one of the great movies Iļ»æ ever watched. Olivia Lamasan is really one of the best directors when it comes to filipino drama, she always catches attention of every audiences. The scenes are all good, especially the facing of the camera and how the actors delivers their lines with their full emotions on it. The ending makes me cry a lot while I'm inside the movie house. KUDOS!
