The Yellow and the Red

This 10 minute video is worth your time. Sometimes, we have to listen to the two sides of the story before we could finally understand what is happening and learn about the real truth. For now, let me just share this video for I have no plan of expressing my thoughts about it. Honestly, I have many questions in mind. I think I have to read more books about the Philippine history, specifically during the days of the Martial Law and Edsa Revolution. The moment I understand more about the subject will be the time that I’ll write about my thoughts.

This Filipino Visual artpiece is created, authored and directed by a conservative Filipino citizen, residing in the Philippines. The director/author/owner of the video does not intend to offend, insult, humiliate or intimidate his fellow Filipinos or any particular Filipino individual. We are not promoting hatred, violence and discrimination towards our own race. Nor do we promote stereotyping and denigration against any Filipino Individual.
The objective of the director/author/owner of the video is to promote an intelligent and civilized discussion about rectifying the flawed provisions of the Philippine’s 1987 Constitution. Provisions that promote a protectionist government where only a few number of rich families benefit while the entire populace of the Philippines is mired in POVERTY, MEDIOCRITY and constant SUFFERING.
The opinion of the director/author/owner of the video is similar to the opinion of a growing number of disillusioned Educated and Enlightened Filipinos who simply wants to elevate their quality of life and get rid of poverty in our country once and for all by freeing up the economy and attracting foreign direct investments that brings job opportunities to the people. The 1987 constitution is responsible for restricting progress in the Philippines for 25 years. The 1987 Constitution must be rectified. This rectification movement must be supported by the people. But first, the people must be informed. Hence the very PURPOSE OF THIS VIDEO.
This is not Hate Speech. This is not Racial Vilification.

Well.. I guess anybody is entitled to his/her own opinion. But same like you, I would rather be mum about it. Unless we have a very wide knowledge and background of the past, only we can be in the position to agree or contradict to the author and director of this video.

But I salute his courage and efforts to come up with such. It's not quite easy to stand with what we believe and what we are fighting for. He had chosen the best media to convey his message to the public and for me, that's remarkable!

I have to agree with you too ate Kriz! Honestly, when I watched the video, I was worried. It wasn't easy finding out that what I believed all those years were not right as suggested by the video. I don't really have a clear thing to say. HAHA

Let's just respect each other's opinions. We always have something different to say about the same thing. 😀

Just sharing the video. Will add a question at the end of my post. 😀

    Hay, mahirap tlga sa politics..
Its better to zip all our thoughts in our brain or else…
    Hehe!

Basta ang alam ko sabi ng lolo at nanay ko, sa lahat ng president.. they love Marcos.. Bow.

Bata ka pa Algene, madami ka pang makikita sa paligid.. sa Pilipinas.. sa politika..

Tama ate Wilms. As bloggers, we are expected to always say what's in our minds pero at topics like these, we seldom lose the courage to speak our mind. Bakit kaya? Hays..

Yes ate, I know I'm too young and will be exposed to the politics more. Tsk tsk. Yun din sabi ng mga grandparents ko. Marcos was a great president.

The problem here is that Filipino people do not always get the chance to know the whole story. 🙁

Hmmm. Very interesting video. WE can have varied opinions on this but to each his own.

I can't help but express though that the Director did a good job exposing the unsaid truths about Martial Law and People Power. What's striking was when it was emphasized in the video that only 2% of the Filipino populace went to EDSA for People Power and now we call that DEMOCRACY?

With that said, I still believe that Marcos is the greatest President of all time. I feel rather hopeless for our country and I think it can never be like the old times- like it was in the Marcos regime. Sad but it's a reality that all stakeholders must look closely into especially those in power who hang on tightly for it.

I agree with Krizza, lahat ng tao entitled to his/her opinion. Medyo sensetive na issue ang politics especially if hindi mo alam ang pinagmulan ng lahat.

Thanks for sharing this gene. It will still give me something to think about.

Hi gene, are you planning to get your own domain for this blog?

na check mo na ang PR nito?hehehe PR2 na ito…

Share ko lang ha. I lost my page rank nung nag change domain ako sa MY JOURNEY as in totally back to square one.

Please think about it. Dami ng opps ang pwde makuha ng blog na ito. Sayang kasi ang sinimulan mo dito.

@Lainy: I always hear my prof complain about the term "Democracy" when referred to Edsa Revolution. According to him and to the director of the video posted above, how come Filipinos call it Democracy when only 2% of the whole population joined the march? That is something that I would also like to ask to most Filipino people.

Regarding about former President Marcos.. I've heard so much about him, not only the bad things but also his greatness. Sad to say that I can't talk much about him since I was a Martial Law baby. I was still an infant then and had no idea what was happening in the country. In fact, even now, I'm still confused with the Philippine politics. LOL

  9. aLgene says:

@Rovie: Very sensitive talaga ate Rovs that is why I decided not to talk much about it in my post. I might say something unpleasant. When I'm not sure with what I have to say, I keep my mouth shut. 😀

  10. Rovie says:

Hi gene. if your concern for getting your own domain is redirection lang. I can help. Syempre mas maganda talaga to have your own domain pero yun lang din ang concern ko yung page rank mo.
