Panaad 2012 at Camiguin Island
My
family decided to visit Camiguin Island before the Holy Week 2012. We drove all the way from Davao to Balingwan to catch the barge headed to the said island. It took us almost ten hours to reach the place. The reasons for our delays were the rough roads in Buda and the sea travel. Aside from these, we also needed to pull over so that dad can change the flat tire of our vehicle. We reached the island at around seven in the evening. Nevertheless, we had no regrets for traveling from the city to the island.
It was worth it. Camiguin is really beautiful and full of enchanting people. There are many tourist spots that every Filipino person would surely admire. The purpose for our early trip at Camiguin is not to have a vacation but to fulfill the Panaad 2012. The last time we did Panaad (penitence) was 2007 after I graduated in high school. Since I already
got my college degree, the whole family wanted to give thanks to God by walking up to the mountains. We were not able to attend the walk around the island because we left Camiguin after our 48 hours stay.

Wow! I've heard a lot about Camiguin. Lucky you! I'm quite sure super enjoy kayo ng family mo sa trip na yan. BTW, what do u mean by you had to end the relationship with….are u referring to the boyfie? Curious lang ako. 🙂
My wife's had relatives in Camiguin, and she also frequently visit it during summer in her childhood days. And heard a lot of nice things to visit in Camiguin.
The place is such a scenic station of the cross.
It's good to know that there is something like this in Camiguin, all I heard about the island is the nice beaches. Good thing that have included Catholicism in that area as part of tourist attraction to remind travelers of their Catholic faith before anything else.
Ayun oh! Camiguin will be part of my monthly itinerary starting August 🙂 I'm so excited to work and explore the awe-inspiring island. How I wish makapag-holy week ako dito next year
I was able to see this particular walkway to the old volcano and Station of the Cross. We were supposed to see it up close, but was too strapped for time. 🙁
my first time to see an all white station of the cross… it's nice ha.. parang apparition ang dating 🙂
This is something I'd like to do when I get to visit Camiguin.

I know of this walkway.
I've visited this on a day trip to Camiguin.
I didn't finish this one, after a few stations, I stepped down.
The way has nice views of the islands sorrounding sea.
