Seeing the Happiness in Their Eyes

One of the projects of McDonald’s Philippines for Summer 2016 is the Kiddie Crew Regional Workshop. The McDo team visits Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao to bring happiness to the children from the chosen beneficiaries (orphanages). In Davao city, McDonald’s teamed up with the Davao Bloggers Society in gathering the kids from Padre Pios Home for Children and Providence Home of St. Joseph. For one afternoon, all the children were brought to McDo Bajada branch to give them a chance to experience the annual Kiddie Crew Workshop.
Getting ready for the afternoon activities.
The children were given a chance to participate in the “special” activities of the Kiddie Crew Workshop. The first thing they did was the Floor Activity wherein they had an actual experience of welcoming the guests, serving the customers on the counter and catering to the drive-thru orders.

It really feels great to see these kids enjoy the Floor Activity prepared by McDo. One of the children told me that he was so overjoyed for getting a chance to experience what is is like to become a McDo kiddie crew even for just thirty minutes. What made the event more interesting was the “Cheese Burger Making” activity. The kids were taught how to prepare one of McDo’s signature burgers.
The best part of the afternoon was the “Ronald Dance”. All the children from our beneficiaries, as well as the ates and kuyas from McDo, participated in learning the moves of Ronald McDonald. If only you were there to witness the performance of the children, you’d surely have more reasons to believe that there are really good things in life. Their genuine smiles will inspire you to be happier too.

In behalf of Davao Bloggers Society, I would like to thank McDonald’s for organizing the Regional Kiddie Crew Workshop for these kids. You have no idea how much you made them feel special that day. It really meant a lot for them!
