Fun Times With Ford Ranger Raptor: The King of the Road

Driving a big vehicle never crossed my mind as I felt like it is something that I couldn’t handle. This is one of the reasons why I never became interested in trucks or SUVs. The truth is that I’m intimidated with how big they are to the point that I feel a little less confident about using them. 

However, things have changed since I discovered Ford and got a chance to drive two of its powerful trucks. Last month, I was able to move around Davao city with the Ford Ranger Wildtrak. In one of my recent posts, I talked about the things I love about the said automobile.

Enjoying A Great Ride With Ford Ranger Raptor

For the month of August, I will be talking about a different car from Ford Philippines. This time, let me share my experience in using the Ford Ranger Raptor. When I first saw this vehicle, I was instantly wowed at how buff-yet-sophisticated it looks. The first thought that crossed my mind is how scary it would be to drive such a big car in the busy streets of Davao. 

Surprisingly, everything was smooth-sailing during the days when I used the Ford Ranger Raptor. In fact, I completed several to-do’s and facilitated some transactions all because of this truck. At the same time, I also did not have any difficulty in navigating around the city with this big automobile. Nonetheless, I have to admit that I was extra careful in driving around with the Ford Ranger Raptor because of its size. I needed to keep my distance from other cars all the time!

In Davao city, the regulations about community quarantine and social distancing due to COVID-19 kept on changing every two weeks. The reason behind this is because the local government unit looks at certain statistical data and updates for the last fifteen days before they can make a decision about what to implement for the upcoming weeks. 

Because of this, I’ve chosen to put a pause on some of the things I needed to do. This includes getting some plants and other stuff for my mom. For the longest time, she has been requesting me non-stop to go to Calinan so we can buy some pots for her hobby. On my part, I also kept on declining her request because I wasn’t sure if we can already go there without the need to follow strict protocols.

Fortunately, by the first week of August, movements around the city have been allowed as long as people will remain responsible for observing self-imposed social distancing and quarantine. What’s even luckier is that I had Ford Ranger Raptor with me. All these enabled me to give in to my mom’s request finally.

Aside from this, I also succeeded in doing an ocular inspection of a parcel of land that was offered for sale by a friend. Before, my plan of visiting the area was put on hold because I did not have a vehicle that is ready to conquer the rough road going there. Its location was quite far from the city, and the surrounding roads going there were not 100% concrete. Well, these challenges seemed so easy to overcome with the Ford Ranger Raptor. For this reason, I decided to drive to Tamayong with the King of the Road!

Meeting up my clients around Davao city was also a breeze with Ford Ranger Raptor. It’s comforting to realize that I did not have an issue with parking this vehicle or using it in the main roads of the city. All my concerns about the difficulties and challenges in driving this powerful truck never really mattered in the end. I am happy to know that even if this vehicle looks heavy, it’s something that anyone can drive. Another admirable feature of this truck is that it comes in dual transmission already, giving every owner more options to enjoy the car.
