iPad 2 Dropped

My iPad 2 has a great sentimental value because it is the first item that I bought using my own money. When I started earning online last October 2011, I decided to save my funds for the Apple gadget. Luckily, in just one month, I was able to pool enough cash to purchase a brand new iPad 2 Wifi + 3G.
I knew that buying the tablet can make me life easier and more convenient. And yes, I was right because with my iPad, I can already check my emails, update my blogs, view recent notifications read my favorite magazines and books and talk to my friends via Skype, Facebook and iMsgr without worrying about any fee or charge. For these reasons, it is no wonder why I take good care of my iPad 2 all the time. I can’t afford damaging or losing it.
To be honest, I am a very clumsy person. In fact, my parents and boyfriend would often get upset with how I can become forgetful and careless at certain times. As expected, I got myself into trouble again by dropping my tablet this morning. Last night, I was blog hopping and checking the new emails I got from the sponsors of my upcoming giveaway. Since it’s already late, I failed to put the iPad on the bedside table. So, when morning came, my iPad was already on the floor. It feel from my bed while I was asleep.
What happened? Well, the volume buttons on the iPad are no longer functioning. The volume down button is not working at all. What’s worse is it’s completely stuck causing the “sound effects adjustment display” to permanently appear on the screen. See images below.

For the past few hours, I have been trying to find solutions on how to fix this problem. Until this very moment, I have not found any useful article or post on the web. My iPad’s screen looks bad with this:
Is there any way to remove this image from the screen?

I will visit iStore tomorrow and check for possible solutions or remedies about this major problem. Do you know any shop in the country that sells rear housing for the iPad 2?

  12. If you have an Apple store near you I know for a fact that if you take your iPad there and basically beg them in tears to fix it or replace it, they probably will. A friend of mine dropped hers and the screen cracked, she didn't have any protection coverage but she drove 3 hours to the nearest Apple store in tears and they replaced it on site, even though it wasn't purchased at the store. It's worth a try if you have an Apple store near you and you're out of options. Good luck.

I got curious with the title Ipad 2 dropped. I thought the price dropped already. Does your Ipad have casing protector, when it fell on the floor?
