One of the things that I love about Davao is that I can always find a restaurant that can satisfy my cravings for great food. The best part of all is that most of the top-notch restaurants in the city are home-grown or owned by fellow Dabawenyos. It is always a relief to visit a local food establishment and discover that I can order something special from them. This is what I felt when I visited Shatter Persian Kebab for the first time.
I can vividly remember my first experience at this place. A good friend of mine invited me out for a quick chat over dinner. I let her choose the place because I have this tendency to always go for places that I am already familiar with. For that night, I wanted to try something different. As it turned out, I made the right decision because she chose Shatter Persian Kebab. To be honest, I am not a big fan of Mediterranean cuisine — not because I do not like its taste but primarily due to the fact that I haven’t been introduced to it yet.
Since then, the said restaurant became one of my go-to places in Davao. The kebabs are the best: tasty and juicy. At the same time, I felt that happy sensation within me when I had a taste of their Hummus. The best part of all was that they usually serve the Hummus in three ways, allowing customers to enjoy different varieties. As to the value
My last visit to this restaurant was last week during the first leg of the Davao Food Crawl 2019. I have to say that this place has remained consistent when it comes to serving best-tasting dishes that can make any guest smile. It was also nice to know that they have introduced some new additions to their menu. Below are some of the food items that I would highly recommend for everyone to try:
It is one of the best-selling appetizers at Shatter Persian Kebab. The Hummus are served in three ways: Classic Hummus, Baba Ganoush and Roasted Beef. For those who want to try something new, they also serve Spicy Buffalo Hummus. This order is served with pita bread. The individual order ranges from PHP 95 to PHP 110, while the Trio serving costs PHP 245.
The all-new Smoked Chicken Shawarma is something that you have to order the next time you visit Shatter Persian Kebab. What makes it special is that the chicken is cooked for four hours and smoked using Mahogany wood.
It is served Shiratzi Salad with Mango. As of now, it is not yet listed on the official menu of the restaurant but you can already ask the server about it.
It was my first time to have a taste of Shatter’s Shakshuka. For only PHP 175, guests can already enjoy this delectable dish. It is made of egg poached in spiced tomato sauce and with a mix of spices. Of course, it is always best paired with a Pita Bread.

My mouth was watering the whole time reading this and looking at the delish images. Everything looks amazing!
Sounds like a fantastic restaurant! I’ve never tried Mediterranean food myself. The 3 different ways they offer Hummus is a great bonus!
All of that looks amazing! What a special treat to find it.
I love chicken Shawarma and being smoked sounds even better!
Oh my gosh, this all made me so hungry! We love Persian food, and have a couple of great places here in town. The Shiratzi Salad with Mango sounds like a perfect accompaniment!
Looks amazing! Gotta try some Persian food myself now!
